I offer supervision to practising counsellors and psychotherapists of various modalities within the humanistic and integrative discipline.

I have a Certificate in ‘Supervision with Soul’ from Re.Vision Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis. As the name suggests, this comes from in-depth training in which the work between client and practitioner, and practitioner and supervisor, is explored from a soulful, as well as a clinical perspective.

I bring this perspective into my work with supervisees, along with an appropriate mix of support and challenge, the aims of supervision being threefold:

  • Normative – ensuring professional standards are maintained
  • Formative – enabling the development of abilities, skills and understanding
  • Restorative – helping to refresh and revive the therapeutic relationship

As well as therapeutic supervision, I have many years’ experience as a supervisor of group facilitators and of call-takers of a national helpline.
